in honor of Veronica.

I came across ‘Comes The Dawn’ while I was travelling in NZ with my sister. We were in our very early 2O’s in 1990 and someone had written this beautiful poem on the base of the bench seats in the common room of a ‘Pavlova’ Hostel in Queenstown. The words meant a lot to us then as young women. My sister had them written out for me and framed for my birthday the following year. They have been part of me my whole life and now I’m going to share them with my 20 year old daughter on her 20th birthday. I’ve lost my sister, my best friend. But this forms one of my happiest memories of her and our travels as young women. I’ve only today found out that Veronica was the author so now I thank her spirit for her beautiful, meaningful words. 🙏🏼🌟🤍

Did she write the poem that includes the line, "with every goodbye you learn?" I think do. She write a poem I was given in high school. I reshaped it. It came up again in a sorority sister circle time. It's just cone to mind now during a meditation and lead me here. She has surely ascended to the realm she desired next. Selah Sophia.

I am so sorry about the loss of your mother, wife, sister, grandmother, friend. I never met her, but I was given her poem “After A While” years ago. Her beautiful, meaningful message has stayed with me through my own troubling times and I have passed the poem onto many others who have been touched by it as well. I was so surprised and excited when I found her on the Internet because I wanted to call and tell her how much her poem has meant to me and countless others for so many years - and then I saw this page. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you all.
