Gone with the Wind
Our Beloved and “Larger than Life” Father, has left us on October 9, 2024 at the age of 73. Living recently in Poughkeepsie, NY. He is loved and missed by his children, Peter DeCicco Jr, Marie DeCicco, Joann DeCicco-Rivera, and Keno Thiele. He adored his grandkids (Benjamin, Christian, Janell, Jason-Esteban, Jaxon, Josh, Noah, Ricardo and Sarah). He loved his cousins, like Anthony, Joey and "Roe"; and his many friends including Joseph C, Gilbert F, Louie M & Gladys F and countless others. He adored & loved his siblings that have predeceased him, Roseanne, Barbara and Tony. He missed his mother Marie Thiele and his grandmother Anna Sasso for whom he held in high esteem. His passions and hobbies included raising his beloved dogs & making homemade greeting cards, crocheting, writing poetry and drawing. He also enjoyed watching murder mysteries, Marilyn Monroe films or classic movies, like his favorites "Gone with the Wind" and "Gypsy". He also enjoyed growing plants and flowers. He worked at Creedmoor Psychiatric Hospital in Queens for 25 years. He volunteered at not-for-profit charitable thrift stores and Narcotics Anonymous (NA). He gave a lot of his life to helping those in NA and recovery. He is Gone with the Wind, Gone like the Wind, a true hurricane…..
