Peter Raymond Bagot, a devoted son, brother, uncle, husband, father, and grandfather passed away at the age of 68 years old in New York. Peter worked at Embassy Furniture until he relocated to New York with his wife in 1987. He worked for the Ford Foundation until his retirement in August 2023. Peter was married to Acklima Khan in June 18, 1980. He will be tremendously and deeply missed by beloved wife Acklima, daughter Stephanie and husband Ravindra Singh and his four grandchildren, Shivraj, Aishani, Avaneesh and Vaneesha. He doated on his grandchildren, and he was a very proud and happy grandfather. Brother-in law of Yusuf, Ousman, Fazal, Momina, Jamina and Jennifer.
Peter was a kind and gentle soul. He had a great sense of humor. He was generous to the core and he touched the lives of many. He loved to cook and cater to family and friends with pride because he did it so well. He had a great love for fishing. He played cricket since he was a boy. He had become a great cricketer while in Winnipeg. He played on the Canadian team and at times had some of his friends from New Jersey who would come and pick him up to play for their team. He was one of the best left-handed bowlers in his time. Though Peter is no longer with us, his spirit will live on in every act of kindness we do in his name. We will miss him dearly, but we will always remember the joy and love he brought into our lives. We take comfort in knowing that Peter is at peace, and we will meet again someday.
