Peggy Hart-Scales' Obituary
Our Beloved Peggy Hart-Scales affectionally known as Peg or Sheba was the eldest daughter of her parents, John Hart Jr. and Neronia fields.
Peggy was Born in Brooklyn, New York on August 13, 1959.
She attended Maxwell Vocational High School where she graduated in 1977 and afterwards she received her Fashion Arts Design certification. She continued her education throughout the years obtaining credits toward her degree from York, Mercy and Marymount Manhattan College. She was a Banker's Trust Sorter before moving on and becoming a United States Post office clerk.
Afterwards she joined the board of education as a UFT Member/Paraprofessional for district 75-Ridgewood High School and P4@270Q Elementary School until she retired.
Some of Peggy's proudest accomplishments were being active volunteer/childcare provider in the PS.30Q elementary school ,being a Rochdale Community center Homebound elderly Meals on wheels Transporter.
Extremely proud working with students to obtain their GED, and earning numerous awards such Parents Participation in National Aeronautics and Space at York College, Parent Participation Workshop at Middle School 72Q as well as a Parent Involvement award at PS30Q.
Peggy was revered as a matriarch in the community. Many people flocked to be in her presence to experience the great joy, love and teachings she gave everyone. She gave you the truth whether you liked it or not. But it was to help you grow and know that she grew with you. She was called home to be with GOD, her parents, and brother Morris L. Garrett on December 22,2023.
She leaves her legacy with loving Husband Daniel Ruben Scales of 41 years, Children Daniel Ruben Scales Jr., Icelean Scales and Gina Scales, Grandchildren Yvanni Rhymer, William Rhymer and Aaliyah Peterson-Scales, Sister Lorisa Hart (Larry)Frazier and Brother David(Edwin) Hart, Uncle Bobby (Betty) Hart, Joe Lewis Hart, Daniel Hart, Almeta Hart, Dorothy Hart -Bynes, Ernest (Mildred)Hart, Lou Smoke, Annie Ruth Hart, Marvin (Ester) Hart and other Aunts, Uncles, cousins, Family and Friends unmentioned.
