Mildred Heeralall's Obituary
Mildred Heeralall nee Sugrim was born at Plantation Bath, Guyana on June 20th, 1938 to predeceased parents Sugrim & Rampeyari. She entered Heaven’s gates on April 24th, 2020.
A loving, devoted mother and homemaker, Mildred aka Babsie was a remarkable woman who found joy in cooking and preparing meals for her family and loved ones. Despite her busy schedule raising 9 children, she also enjoyed reading novels in her limited spare time. Many others knew Mildred as a second mother who opened her home to them, adding to her already large family. Her heart was bigger than her home and her compassion and kindness defined her character. Babsie also loved joking and laughing with everyone as she would reminisce of days long ago and always wanting to know everyone she knew was doing well. She made many friends and never forgot a name or face. She spoke very highly of her children and was proud of all her grandchildren. She was the wife to the late Harry Michael Heeralall aka Uncle Mike.
Mildred was a wonderful mother who will be dearly missed by her children Herman, Wilfred; Erwin, Clifton Winston, David, Franklin, Paul & Ruby; daughters/son-in law; Annett, Glory, Pameela, Anita, Isabel, Priya and Trevor Khan, former daughter-in-law Paula Bacchus; also, her adopted children Oliver Moses, Little David, Carl Lam and others.
Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Ryan, Kevin & Yasmin, Sheneeza, Fazeena, Anqelica & Suresh, Rennie & Shelly, Lennie, Brian & Zofia, Amanda & Steve, Kevin, Sasha, Alicia, TJ., and great-grandchildren Hayley, Chelsey, Emma, Kaelyn, Kyler and others.
She is survived by siblings and in-laws – Herman & Evelyn Sugrim, Hughie & Omada Sugrim; Burchlene Bharrat; Cyslin Isaacs; Eileen Manmohan; Doreen Ramitt; predeceased Charles Sugrim and Audlene Jailall;
Private home going service will be held at Bergen Funeral Home @ 9–10 am followed by burial at Pinelawn Cemetery 1:30 pm on Thursday, April
