Obituary for June Bunraj Ramlochan
With broken hearts, we share the passing of our beloved June Bunraj Ramlochan, who left this world on January 3, 2026, at the age of 62.
Born on March 6, 1963, to the late Polina and Roodal Boonraj in Couva Trinidad. She was the youngest sibling to Indra, Savi, Mary, Agnes, Judy and Kenneth.
June was the heart of her family and the quiet strength behind everything they became. She was a woman of deep love, endless sacrifice, and unwavering devotion. For five years, June courageously battled stage 4 cancer, facing each day with dignity, strength, and grace. Even through her illness, she remained selfless—always more concerned about her family than herself.
June lived for her family. She was a devoted wife to Ravindra Ramlochan, standing beside him with love and support through every season of life. She was an extraordinary mother to Kristen Ramlochan and Shane Ramlochan, who were her greatest pride and joy. Her love was constant, her guidance steady, and her presence comforting. Everything she did was for her family, and her sacrifices were the driving force that allowed her husband and children to grow, thrive, and excel in life.
June also cherished time spent creating memories with those she loved. She had a deep love for travel and joyfully explored places such as Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Aruba and Trinidad and Tobago, with friends and family. She especially treasured spending the holidays together in the Poconos Mountains, where laughter, togetherness, and love filled every moment.
Beyond her role as wife and mother, June was a woman of dedication and integrity. She began her career at Sterling National Bank at just 18 years old and remained there throughout her working life. Through hard work and commitment, she earned the respect of her colleagues and rose to the position of Trade Service Specialist. She took pride in her work, but no pride compared to the pride she had in her family.
June will be remembered for her gentle heart, her quiet strength, and the love she gave so freely. While her absence leaves an unimaginable void, her spirit, values, and unconditional love will live on through those she leaves behind,
Including her sisters and brother, her sister-in-law‘s and brother-in-law‘s and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was deeply loved, will be endlessly missed, and will remain forever in our hearts.
