Chandradat Mohabir's Obituary
Chandradat Mohabir unexpectedly passed away on January 18th, 2024 at the age of 57. He was the most wonderful and caring person you could ever meet, but most importantly the best father and husband. Everyone knew him as Reds and once he entered the room it would become filled with laughter.
Reds was born to Savitri and the Late Mohabir on July 7th, 1966 in Berbice No.7 Village, Guyana. He grew up with his three brothers, Tah, the Late Pappy, and Singbai. He later met and married Shanta Lall, the daughter of Jasoda Shiamraj and the Late Sohanlall Shiamraj (Byson) on April 14th, 1991. He was blessed with his first child, his princess Ashti on February 21st, 1992 and later his son Adrian on February 11th, 1995. In June 1998, Reds and his family moved to the British Virgin Islands where he was a man of many trades. After a wonderful life in the BVI, he moved his family to New York on May 7th, 2005. He started his career as a Field Supervisor with Tbros Renovation and worked with the company for 19 years until he passed away.
He was also a loving brother-in-law to Nalini, Kamini, Shakun, Neeta, Sase (Terry), the Late Ramoutar (Jai), and Sanita. He was the Uncle of Nadia, David, Nikita, Nicholas, Ashley, Justin, Andrew, Ashmini, Richard, Anissa and Alyssa.
Reds has touched the lives of many and will be missed tremendously. He will be remembered for his generosity, his passion for cooking, and his love and dedication for his family. We will always carry the memories of him in our hearts as we continue to reflect on the wonderful person he was.
