Roderick Harry
There's so much to say about my dear friend, brother, team mate, liming partner Derek that words are failing from where to begin.
Derek has touched all the lives that he has came into contact with for the better. I cannot remember any person speaking ill of him.
The moment he comes around, it's like a breath of fresh air. He always has you in the lightest mood as possible. Even if you are depressed theres something about him when he speaks that will resonate with persons nearby .
Just writing this alone is like just seeing him in his usual jolly mode especially at our Clubhouse, when we would spend sometimes up to 8 hours just playing dominoes and having a drink talking about life's challenges and the lighter side of current affairs.
He is always a family person, I would remember sometimes playing dominoes with him and he has his wife on the phone whilst playing for hours and she would just be there chatting whilst we would play and he complain he's being cheated out of his share of beers (smile)
So much memories we shared together.
Shavon, on behalf of Strikers Sports Club, its patrons, close friends and the lives Derek has touched, we deeply sympathize with you and family on the loss of such a beautiful soul.
May his Soul Sleep In Eternal Peace.
