I think about Jen all the time. At least once a day. Sundays are particularly hard since she passed on a Sunday and I'm usually at Mom's house where it occurred.
But I remember her with fondness and love. We were much closer since the pandemic. Her birthday is coming up on May 5, so I am wishing her a happy birthday week in the other realm, where I am sure she is feeling loved, supported and joyful.
Jennifer was my roommate and friend at NYU. I have fond memories of us eating meals at Rubin Hall together with our friend Jesse, going to fraternity parties and just hanging out in the Village. Jennifer loved movies and was in charge of the weekly movie night at Rubin Hall. I am so sad to hear of her passing and offer my condolences to her family. I will always remember her warm smile and easygoing nature.
Worked with Jenn back in the 80’s at a place called 24 5th we all were good friends back then and she was amazing and I can remember her always smiling her great smile. She will be missed by all who ever knew her RIP Jenn.

Jen has been a teammate for a few years now. When I took over as captain for a SouthBay tennis team, she mentored me -- teaching me the ins and outs of USTA regulations and team strategies. We only spent a few times on the courts, but she would always be available via text to chat with. Once, she gave me advice on raising a Taurus tennis player daughter, as she too was one. Her humor was dry, but man, when she wanted to make you laugh she absolutely can. Here in California, the news is trickling about her passing and we are a mixed bag of emotions. Shocked, yes. Devastated, absolutely. There will be an emptiness we did not know exists. To her NY family, please know, your daughter/sister/cousin/friend-- her memory will be held with love and respect. We will continue to exchange stories of Jen to keep her spirit alive. We are so very sorry for your loss.
I met Jen over five years ago, and for the past few, we had a standing Wednesday tennis game—something I came to look forward to more than I ever expected. She had the best camaraderie on the court: sharp wit, playful heckling, and a kindness that made everyone feel like they belonged. Jen was funny, smart, generous, and incredibly brave. Her energy was always light and positive, and somehow she managed to make tennis feel like both a workout and a hangout. I’ll miss our rallies, our jokes, and most of all, just being around her. Wednesdays won’t be the same.
I was fortunate to play tennis against Jen- she was a great tennis player and a tough competitor. She will be missed in the Southern California tennis leagues.
