My first recollection of our cousin Winston was at Central Mahaicony. I was 7 years old when he visited our family and gave me a ride at the back of his motorcycle. He was so proud of his motorcycle, and for me it was an exhilarating experience. However, the memory that I will always cherish was the hospitality Winston and his son Errol extended my wife Imelda and I on November 1, 2008, while in New York to run the New York City marathon. We met the day before the race at the Expo, and Winston and Errol made time to spend that day to show us around the city and ride the Staten Island ferry as a rehearsal in preparation for getting to the start line of the marathon on the next day.
Winston and Pearl were a kind, thoughtful and loving couple and my family and I extend our deepest, heartfelt condolences to Rosene, Errol, Paul and their families. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this challenging time.
