I am heartbroken over this tragic news. I was Raeven's guidance counselor, and I really enjoyed every minute I spent with him. From the first day I first met Raeven when he enrolled in summer 2021 to the day before graduation when he was working hard in the computer lab to finish up some last-minute assignments and even after graduation this past fall when I was helping him enroll in trade school to further his education in his true passion for automotive mechanics, I truly treasure every single interaction I had with him. Raeven was such a bright, sweet and respectful young man, and his smile was contagious. Whether passing in the hallway or stopping by my office to say hello, Raeven always greeted me with a smile and a warm "hi Ms. Jill." I will NEVER forget him, he lives on in my memory, and is forever engraved in my heart. My heart goes out to Raeven's wonderful and loving family, especially Raeven's mom who I had the pleasure of speaking with on several occasions in an effort to support Raeven in graduating and planning for next steps after graduation. I wish all children to have the love and support that mom ALWAYS gave to her beloved son. Every time mom and I conversed, it was really clear how much she loved and supported her son to no end. Mom always wanted the best for Raeven and would have traveled to the moon and back to make sure her son succeeds in school and in life. I pray that Raeven is resting in peace in the Lord's Kingdom of eternal life, and I pray that his family finds comfort in knowing their beloved Raeven is in a place far better than this one and one day we will ALL be reunited again. <3 Ms. Jill
